Other Sudan Offices

Southern Sudan has always been served through the port of Mombasa and Interfreight did have an office set up in Juba already since 1972 which was however closed in 1986 due to the ongoing civil war.

Since the peace agreement of 2005, Interfreight Southern Sudan has been reopened to actively support the re-construction of the country with its exclusive logistics services which are based on the long experience in this field and the excellent regional infrastructure.

Southern Sudan has to re-build its entire infrastructure including roads, power generation, water supply etc before it can actively explore and exploit its vast resources of minerals, oil and gas and agricultural produce. The international community is actively supporting the reconstruction of Southern Sudan with pledged funds of up to 5 Bio USD over the next 3-5 years.

Interfreight operates its regional head office in Juba from where all border and clearing offices in Kaya, Yei and Kapoeta are controlled.

The road infrastructure into Southern Sudan from Northern Uganda and Kenya is presently under rehabilitation but remains unpaved at this stage. Interfreight conducts regular road surveys and depending on the road condition and the security situation does establish the best access for your cargo to the regional centers. The road map on the map page shows the present progress and is regularly updated by WFP and will be reflected in our web page.

The main access to Juba and Rumbek is presently via Kaya / Yei. Interfreight does utilize the most suitable trucks including 6 x 6 all wheel trucks depending on the weather situation and the prevailing road conditions.

Interfreight offers the full range of logistics services including:

• Door to door ex overseas origin to final destination under 1 transport document.
